Hotel Axelmannstein - a foundation pillar of Bad Reichenhall
The hotel is considered one of the foundation pillars of the spa town of Bad Reichenhall. Founded as a so-called brine and whey spa centre in 1846 under Kaspar von Reiners and his family, the hotel also remained, as Bad Reichenhall later developed into a spa and health resort. The sons-in-law of the hotelier Ernst Rinck and Wilhelm von Pechmann were also co-founders. At the beginning of the 20th century, the hotel building was demolished to give way to a new building. From 1909 to 1911, the house was rebuilt, taking into account the old structures.
Spend the night and stay as kings once did
King Maximilian II of Bavaria was one of the most prominent residents of the hotel and made the hotel grow popular with his visit in 1848. He used to spend about five weeks there with his court during a cure. After that, the number of guests increased significantly. The central location of the listed building and the beautiful park with about 30,000 square metres also make the house attractive to you as a guest.
